General Farm Worker

We are looking for a general farm worker to join a small team on a 800ha mixed farming property located near the Rakaia Gorge, approximately 40kms from Ashburton Township. Running 2000 store lambs and growing and processing crops such as cereals, peas, clover, pumpkin and potatoes. With all this variety, no two days are the same.
You will be included in all aspects of farming, from cultivation to harvest, truck driving, store lambs and general farm labouring. This job is a great opportunity for the right candidate to learn traditional farming practices and gain diverse farm experience. This is a temporary ongoing assignment; it would typically be 40-50 hours a week (including weekends) as required. Hours will vary with the seasonal peaks and troughs, so flexibility is required.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Class 4 licence
• Previous stock experience
• Machinery operating experience
• Honest and Reliable
• Physically fit and able
