🏗️ A Day in the Life: Production Team Member
This isn’t a desk job—it’s a high-energy, physical role where you are a key part of New Zealand’s food export success. Here is what a typical shift looks like:
🥾 1. Gear Up & Safety First Your shift starts in the changing rooms. You’ll suit up in clean whites, hairnets, and safety boots. Before hitting the floor, there’s a team briefing. We operate with a “Safety First” mindset—we look out for each other from minute one.
🥩 2. The Pace of Production Once you’re on the line, the work is fast and hands-on. Whether you are handling raw product, operating de-boning machinery, or operating the plate freezers, you’ll be:
- Active: Constant lifting, reaching, and moving throughout the 10-hour shift.
- Environment: Working in a temperature-controlled, chilled environment to maintain product quality.
- Precision: Following strict food safety protocols to ensure every box meets international standards.
🤝 3. Teamwork & Breaks You work as part of a tight-knit crew. When it’s time for a break, it’s a chance to take a load off your feet, grab a coffee in the canteen, and recharge before the next production run.
🏁 4. Clocking Out By the end of the shift, you’ll have processed tons of high-quality product. You’ll head home knowing you’ve done a “proper” day’s work and stayed active without needing a gym membership.
