Graduate or Junior Engineer

Our client is looking for a motivated Graduate or Junior Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with experience who is keen to develop their career in the earthmoving and civil engineering industry.

Working alongside experienced Project Managers and the leadership team, you’ll gain exposure to every stage of a project – from tendering and estimating through to project delivery, quality assurance, client liaison, and health and safety.

About the Role

As a Graduate / Junior Project Engineer, you’ll provide day-to-day support across a range of operational and project management functions, including:

• Assisting with quotations, tenders and project costings
• Reviewing plans, specifications and project documentation
• Coordinating project administration and maintaining work schedules
• Supporting project planning and resource allocation
• Assisting with job costing and project reporting
• Liaising with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
• Providing technical support to project teams
• Promoting quality, environmental and health & safety standards
• Building strong relationships with customers and stakeholders

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

• A recent graduate or has experience in a similar role
• Qualified with a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Enthusiastic, motivated and eager to learn
• Well organised with excellent attention to detail
• A strong communicator who enjoys working with people
• Able to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure
• Customer focused with a positive, professional attitude
• A holder of a full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat and InDesign would be an advantage but is not essential.
