Our client is looking for a motivated Operations Manager to join their team.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside our General Manager and Leadship team supporting the successful delivery of civil construction projects while helping shape the future of our operations.

The Role
This is a hands-on position that combines project engineering, operational planning and team coordination. You’ll be involved in every stage of a project, from tendering and planning through to delivery, financial performance and client relationships.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing quotations, estimates and tender submissions
- Planning and coordinating project workloads and resources
- Supporting project delivery to ensure work is completed safely, on time and within budget
- Monitoring project costs, reporting and job profitability
- Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
- Assisting with staff coordination, mentoring and development
- Driving quality, health, safety and environmental performance
- Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and operational efficiency

About You
You’ll be someone who enjoys taking ownership, working collaboratively and finding practical solutions.
Ideally, you’ll have:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- Experience in a project engineering, construction or operations role (preferred but not essential)
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Attention to detail
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- A full New Zealand driver’s licence
