Class 2 or 4 Driver/Labourer
Are you a physically fit Class 2 or 4 Driver looking for a consistent, well-supported job for 4 months in Central Otago? We have an immediate opening for a versatile operator to join our team on an airport infrastructure project based in Alexandra.
This is a Monday to Friday role (staying away) offering a great work-life balance with weekends at home and full subsistence provided.
The Role
This is a hands-on position that requires a “can-do” attitude. You won’t just be behind the wheel; the workload is approximately:
- 80% Civil Labouring: Primarily shovel work and assisting the ground crew.
- 20% Driving: Operating a tip truck.
The Package
We take care of our team while they are on the road. For the duration of this 4-month job, we provide:
- Accommodation: Quality motel stay provided (Monday–Thursday nights).
- All Meals Included: Continental breakfast, a packed lunch for the site, and cooked pub meals for dinner.
- Great pay!
- Please note: There is no additional overnight allowance.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Licensing: A current, clean NZ Class 2 or Class 4 Driver’s License.
- Physical Fitness: Must be capable of sustained manual labour (shovelling and ground prep).
- Compliance: As this is airport-based work, a clean Ministry of Justice check and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug test are mandatory.
- Availability: Must be ready for an immediate start and able to commit to the full 4-month term.
