Garden Nursery Assistant

We are on the hunt for our next superstar—a versatile individual to step into a dual-capacity role that balances nursery production with retail sales. This is a unique opportunity for someone with an “old school” work ethic who enjoys staying active.

This is a Tuesday to Saturday position designed for variety, splitting your week between the heart of our production nursery and the face of our retail shop. On Tuesday and Wednesday, you will be at the centre of our production team. Duties include potting, propagation, and general plant maintenance. This is a physically active role that involves dispatch, manually loading and unloading stock (5–25kg), and ensuring everything is prepared to a high standard

From Thursday to Saturday, you will transition into the lead for our plant shop during our public-facing days. You’ll be responsible for opening up, ensuring signage is visible and stock is fully replenished, handling cash and sales, and providing a friendly, approachable face for our customers.

Hours of work will be between 7.30am – 4.30pm, however there is flexibility around these hours for the right person.

We value reliability and a “can-do” attitude above all else. You should be someone who sees what needs to be done and gets on with it without needing to be followed up. We want someone who brings the energy, and a great sense of humour. You will need clear spoken English to relate naturally to customers and be physically comfortable with the demands of nursery work and heavy lifting.

A minimum of a Restricted Driver Licence is required, along with high attention to detail and a commitment to health and safety.
