Machine Operator
We are seeking a reliable and mechanically minded Operator to join our production team in a modern pet food manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for operating and monitoring our Beehive continuous cooking system to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor the Beehive cooking/extrusion system
- Control critical parameters (temperature, pressure, moisture, throughput)
- Ensure product meets quality and food safety specifications
- Perform start-ups, shut-downs, and product changeovers
- Identify and respond to process deviations or faults
- Complete routine cleaning and basic maintenance tasks
- Work collaboratively with QA, maintenance, and production teams
What We’re Looking For:
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work afternoon/evening shifts in an industrial environment
Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 4.00pm to 2.00am and Saturdays 12.00pm to 6.00pm. Hours may reduce slightly over the winter months.
