Experienced Arable Farm Hand Wanted

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Farm Hand to join a busy farming operation in the Barrhill/Methven area. This is a full-time position with an immediate start and would suit someone who is confident operating farm machinery, enjoys varied outdoor work, and can get on with the job independently.

This is not an entry-level position. Previous farm hand experience and confidence operating tractors and other farm machinery are essential.

The Role You will be involved in a variety of day-to-day farming activities, including:

Tractor driving and machinery operation
Moving irrigators
Fertiliser spreading
General sheep and cattle work
Assisting with day-to-day farm duties as required

Hours

Monday to Friday
7:30am start until the day’s work is complete
Occasional weekend work may be required during busy periods

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

Previous farm hand experience – essential
Confidence operating tractors and farm machinery
Experience working with sheep and cattle
The ability to use GPS and other farm technology
A full, current driver’s licence
Heavy Traffic Licences would be an advantage
Good physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in all conditions
Reliable transport to the Barrhill/Methven area
A strong work ethic and a reliable, responsible attitude
The ability to work independently and without constant supervision
