Farm Machinery Operator – Mixed Farming

We’re looking for a capable Farm Hand with a strong interest in tractors, trucks and modern machinery to join a progressive 600ha mixed cropping and livestock operation near Charing Cross.

The Role This is a hands-on machinery-focused position, with the majority of your time spent operating tractors, trucks and other farm equipment.

You’ll be involved in:

Operating modern 300hp+ tractors
Truck driving and cartage
Cropping and cultivation work
Spraying and baling
Irrigation management
General machinery operation
Assisting with servicing, maintenance and repairs
General farm duties and stock work as required

The farm runs modern machinery, with tractors all less than three years old, and takes pride in keeping equipment maintained to a high standard. Machinery maintenance is carried out in-house, so mechanical aptitude and an interest in how equipment works will be highly regarded.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

Has experience operating tractors and trucks
Takes pride in their work and looks after machinery
Is reliable, honest and accountable
Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Is confident working independently but enjoys being part of a team
Is keen to learn and take on responsibility
Has a genuine interest in farming and machinery

Ideally, you’ll have 2+ years’ experience in mixed farming and/or machinery operation, but the right attitude and willingness to learn are just as important as experience.

A Class 1–5 driver licence would place your application at an advantage.
