LOADER & FORKLIFT OPERATOR
We’re on the lookout for a reliable, hardworking and detail-oriented person to join a small, hands-on team at a busy fertiliser service centre in Oamaru.
This is a varied role involving loader operation, forklift driving, general manual labour, all involving high level of customer service. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has strong customer service skills and is happy to pitch in wherever needed.
The Role
- Operating loaders to move and handle fertiliser
- Operating forklifts to load, unload and move products
- Pitching in with manual labour and general yard duties as required
- Providing friendly, professional customer service
- Assisting customers with loading and product handling
- Keeping the site clean, tidy and organised
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
- Working closely with a small team to ensure orders are handled accurately and efficiently
- Maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Hours of Work Monday to Friday, 6:30am – 5:00pm
What We’re Looking For
- Experience operating loaders and forklifts
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- A reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude
- High attention to detail and a focus on getting things right
- Physically fit and happy to pitch in with manual labour
- A team player who can also work independently
- A strong commitment to health and safety
- A current forklift licence and relevant machinery experience are essential
