Trainee Welder
We’re looking for a motivated and reliable Trainee Welder to join the team. If you’re keen to learn a trade, enjoy working with your hands, and want to build a long-term career in steel and alloy welding and fabrication, we’d love to hear from you.
Whether you’ve just left school, completed a pre-trade course, or you’re a backyard tinkerer who enjoys restoring cars, building trailers, fixing machinery, or spending weekends in the shed making things, this could be the opportunity you’re looking for.
What You’ll Be Doing Working alongside an experienced team, you’ll receive hands-on training while learning all aspects of steel and alloy welding and fabrication, including:
- Assisting with welding and fabrication projects
- Learning MIG welding techniques
- Working with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
- Preparing materials and components
- Using workshop tools and equipment safely
- Reading and interpreting workshop drawings (training provided)
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
- Following all health and safety procedures
What We’re Looking For
- A great attitude and willingness to learn
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Mechanically minded with good practical skills
- Someone who enjoys making, repairing, or building things
- A backyard tinkerer with a passion for working with metal is a definite advantage
- Physically fit and able to work in a busy workshop
- A strong commitment to health and safety
No previous welding experience is required. If you’ve got enthusiasm, common sense, and a strong work ethic, we’ll provide the training and support you need to become a skilled welder.
