Fertiliser Spreader Operator

We are looking for an operator for a modern fertiliser spreader, who has good spatial awareness and attention to detail.

Operation of a multi-drive, self-propelled fertiliser spreader, applying fertilisers to various crops, over a 32m spread width is the main component of this role. Attention to detail is vital as you will be calibrating and recording fertiliser applications with both Greenstar GPS and manual book entry.

Although this is mainly a crop based role, for consistent hours throughout the year, other farm duties could include:

• Header operation over the harvest season (for the right person)
• Tractor work (cultivation, drilling, chaser bin)
• Drenching/crutching etc of store lambs
• Moving stock/break fencing as required

The ideal candidate will bring the following experience and attributes:

• A clean, full Driver Licence
• At least 3 years’ machinery operation experience, using GPS systems
• Have experience and be confident working with stock (both sheep and cattle/bulls)
• Self-motivated and full of energy
• Most importantly you will thrive working as part of the team

There will be some flexibility required with days and hours to accommodate the seasonal peaks.
